About Me Jeana G.

In my 20's and 30's I lived in southern Californa. For seven of those years I worked as a commercial model and traveled to various countries and did many photo shoots in California often modeling swimwear.  My friends and I spent plenty of time in Laguna Beach which was a hotbed of up and coming designers who had their roots in surf, skate and streetwear.  We spent beautiful days on the beach in our swimsuits  watching the surf and having fun.  We loved talking about the clothes we wanted to make and like many young girls, I loved to sew from very early on.  I especially liked knits  because  they packed easily for travel, were comfortable and worked well for my casual beach lifestyle.

I moved to San Francisco in 1980 and met some creative friends. We started our own small clothing lines: Wahumba Swamp, Reverent, LaDiablita and my first seamless clothing line manufactured in Italy called 'Jeana & Dan'.  I began to take many dance classes: Modern, Haitian, Cuban, Brazilian and in 2010 I decided to make a dance inspired seamless/knit clothing line called "jeanaG." The pictures you see here are of me during those early years modeling. jeanaG is all about simplicity, comfort, utilitarian and natural beauty.
